CERTIFICATE III IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND CARE
If you love children and love watching them learn, thrive and grow, then this course is for you!
With a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, you will learn to support children’s growth and development whilst providing them with a safe and healthy environment.
By completing this course, you will gain the practical and hands-on skills needed for a rewarding career as an Early Childhood Educator.
COURSE DURATION: 12 months.
DELIVERY METHOD: 2 days per week of in-class time.
PLACEMENT REQUIREMENTS: 120 hours work placement. Must have Working with Children Check.

DIPLOMA of EARLY CHILDHOOD
EDUCATION and CARE

With a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, you will learn to support children’s growth and development whilst providing them with a safe and healthy environment.
By completing this course, you will gain the practical and hands-on skills needed for a rewarding career as an Early Childhood Educator. A diploma qualification also gives you greater access to management-level roles in the Early Years industry.
COURSE DURATION: 12 months.
DELIVERY METHOD: 2 days per week of in-class time.
PLACEMENT REQUIREMENTS: 240 hours of placement undertaken 1 day per week over the duration of your course.
Must have Working with Children Check.

CERTIFICATE III IN EDUCATION SUPPORT
If you are passionate about assisting children and young people to get the most out of their education, this is the course for you!
With a Certificate III in Education Support, you will be able to enhance the literacy and numeracy skills in children with learning difficulties or developmental delays. You will be able to support teachers in the implementation of special education programs and cater for a variety of learning styles.
COURSE DURATION: 12 months.
DELIVERY METHOD: 2 days per week of in-class time.
PLACEMENT REQUIREMENTS: 120 hours work placement.

By completing this course, you will have the skills, knowledge and confidence to support people with intellectual, sensory or physical disabilities, enhancing their ability to achieve greater levels of independence and community participation.

HLTAID004
Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting
This intensive short course is designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. It has a specific focus on first aid within an Education and Care setting. Participants will learn how to manage the casualty or casualties, the incident, and other first-aiders.
COURSE CONTENT
Management of:
- Cardiac arrest
- An unconscious casualty
- Bleeding and wounds
- Asthma
- Anaphylaxis
- Poisons
- Fractures, strains, sprains and dislocations
ACEQA have stated the following via its website in relation to HLTAID004:
“This qualification satisfies all requirements for first aid, anaphylaxis management and emergency asthma training”
bestchance Training offers two different types of streams for this course:
This two day course is for our students who are undertaking accredited training.
Price: $150
This one day refresher course is aimed at those who are updating or refreshing their First Aid training.
Students are required to complete reading of a pre-course workbook and answer a questionnaire prior to attending class.
Students must submit their completed questionnaire on or before the morning of the workshop. Students should allow 2-4 hours to read the pre-course workbook and complete the questionnaire as well as 8 hours for class attendance.
HLTAID001
Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
This course covers all the skills and knowledge required to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines.
Please note it is a requirement of this course that practical demonstration of CPR must be performed on the floor.
Course Outcome: Upon completion of this course, participants will be issued with a statement of attainment valid for 1 year.
Course Duration: Half day (3 hours)
Entry Requirements: Nil however some pre-course work is required by the student
Course cost: $75
