At Heatherhill Preschool, we pride ourselves on our quality 4 year old program. We provide children with an environment that encourages and stimulates their development, builds self-confidence and social skills, in readiness for their next step to primary school.
Children are provided with the time and space to actively engage, explore, problem solve and take risks within our safe and supportive environment.
Our curriculum incorporates the learning of Aboriginal Languages as well as discussing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives within our programs.
Excursions are a key part of our curriculum. Our regular outings into the community offer valuable experiences and learning opportunities, as well as building connections with the local community.
At Heatherhill Preschool, we are proud to provide a multicultural curriculum and celebrate a variety of cultural events and holidays throughout the year.
At Heatherhill Preschool, we are very conscious of keeping our staff and children safe in the sun; therefore we are official participants in the SunSmart program.
We support children to cope with this exciting and challenging period of change. Partnering with St Anthony’s Primary School, the children have the opportunity to visit and interact with students.
We acknowledge the people of the Kulin Nation, Elders past and present on whose land we work, learn and play.
