Through play, our children learn about creativity, self-expression, problem solving, concentration and independence, all while having fun in our caring and supportive environment. We offer a flexible program, both indoors and outdoors, to maximise the opportunities for each child’s learning.
We offer our 4 year old Kindergarten program in our wonderful facilities, creating a great place to support and extend your child’s development and learning.
Springvale Rise Primary Kindergarten has been rated as Exceeding National Quality Standards. Our experienced, qualified and skilled educators strive for excellence and continually seek to improve in all aspects of their work.
At Springvale Rise, we encourage children to play, observe and interact with the natural environment, incorporating sustainable practices. We also teach and model reusing and recycling in our activities.
We enjoy a richly diverse, multicultural community which is reflected in our curriculum. We teach the children to value and respect other cultures and help them develop a better understanding of the world around them.
We believe that the community offers the children further direction in their learning. Excursions are a key part of our curriculum. Venturing out into the local area allows children to explore, and feel a part of a community.
The Child
Being an inclusive centre, we embrace and support children of all skills, abilities, and cultures; acknowledging children’s personal, family and cultural histories shape their learning and development.
Each child has the right to be respected and appreciated as a unique individual with various learning styles
Curriculum and Programming
Our program is based on the significance of play. Play is an important medium in children’s learning. It helps children to make sense of their lives and wider world and supports children’s creativity, self-expression, problem solving skills, language development, concentration and independence.
Environment
Effective learning takes place in an environment that is meaningful, exciting, interesting and where children feel safe, secure and are encouraged to be risk takers.
We support the development of positive attitude and values in line with the sustainable practices.
Family and community
We believe that the cultural context of families and communities are central to children’s sense of identity, belonging and success in lifelong learning.
Educators try to achieve genuine partnership with the families and communities to focus directly on the shared aim of supporting children’s learning.
Educators
Educators have a very significant role to play in supporting children and families from culturally diverse background.
Emotional engagement is the key to powerful learning, that’s why educators bring love, laughter and passion into the kindergarten.
We always look for the way to personalize learning for the individual child.
