Prepare for Employment
This program takes learners on a deep-dive through the employment market and recruitment process. You will gain an understanding of your strengths and weaknesses and identify your transferable skills relevant to obtaining employment. You will learn how to set goals, overcome obstacles and create a short and long-term career plan.
We then teach you the skills to market yourself to prospective employers; from researching vacancies to developing a professional resume. You will learn how to address key selection criteria and strengthen your job interview skills. In addition, this program also provides the opportunity to improve your communication and teamwork skills.
Conversational English
Available 2 days per week, this program is for students who want to feel more confident in their use of English. It is highly beneficial for students from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds.
The program provides classroom-based activities as well as extension activities at home in order to strengthen speaking, listening, reading (comprehension) and writing capabilities.
The program will help you to write and speak clearly and succinctly, comprehend and respond to reading materials, listen effectively for instructions and information and perform effective note-taking.
Study Skills
Study Skills provides you with the skills to undertake effective note taking, researching, addressing of assessment criteria and complete referencing and bibliographies whilst undertaking assignments.
It is designed to increase confidence in students who may be engaging in study for the first time and also benefits students from a culturally and linguistically diverse background.
The program also builds critical employability skills such as time management, active listening, presenting, and communication skills.
This program is offered as part of our accredited courses.
Homework Support
Funded by bestchance, Homework Support is available for our students studying an accredited course.
This program gives you the opportunity to complete homework tasks and assessments in a group environment supported by a qualified Trainer.
It is an opportunity to ask further questions, clarify instructions, collaborate with your peers and complete course work efficiently.
